Hello and Welcome - Updates

I'll be writing about my travels and life style.

Current status: Jobless and homeless travelling around Europe for about 2 years now :) Any questions please comment :)

⇝Yes, it was a decision to quit my job, sell everything (except for some clothes and laptop) and return the keys of the rental apartment in Melbourne City. 

⇝ No, I don't have any attachment to anywhere and almost anything. And an important thing is that I don't have a mortgage yay! No house, no bills, nothing but my backpack.

⇝Yes, I worked and I had some savings before deciding to go on this 'pre-retirement' stage of my life. :P And I was willing to commit to a simple life where the less thing you own the more freedom you have. 

⇝ No, I'm not an extreme minimalist, but I would say minimalist enough. Basically I have only a carry on backpack which weighs about 10kg. Wearing the same outfit forever haha. However, at my friend's place in Australia, I still have a few boxes of clothing but my goal is to have a capsule wardrobe only.

⇝ And yesss, it has been wonderful so far. 

I've gotta tell you something, I had a very comfortable life, a big apartment, cool and comfy furniture, pretty decorations, all sorts of appliances, motorbike etc.. And the best feeling was to look at the empty apartment after selling everything I had. Seriously, I've never felt so free! And I would definitely recommend doing it at least once in your life. The feeling of not having to worry about anything but 'what's for dinner tonight', is just incredible. Happy days!

So to start of, I decided to write about some of my trips to see if you people can get inspired somehow and get out there, where life is happening and stop worrying about being rich and owning material stuff. 
Remember, we are all going to die and nope, we won't take anything with us. So why don't you get out there and enjoy!? Notice the different shades of green of the trees and the blue of the sea, listen to the birds singing more often, instead of focusing on working your ass off to get a promotion at work 😱

I'm not telling you to quit, kinda actually, but you don't have to, if you have a good balance it's already a good start! Now, if you hate your job, please, you deserve better than this seriously.

Everything, but time and life, is replaceable. Just saying... haha

  • Wanted to show you different parts of this wonderful world summarizing some of the best trips and adventures I've done and will do, and the life I have been living, for the past few years. Camping, house sitting, hotels on a budget, tent life, etc...
  • Feel free to check the blog here for some info about places I have visited.
  • If you are looking for videos you can check out my YouTube channel ⇜-  I'm just starting out so don't expect something super professional haha They are only short videos and not too edited. Just about 3-5 sec each scene as it is (the real deal) put together. You will find some with voice and some with music only.

  • I'll keep trying to update the blog/videos/photos daily and as I go. Which I ended up not doing for a long time, as I was too busy living my life :P  But I will try now that I have a bit more of a relaxing time 
  • Monotony kills. Life starts outside the comfort zone. Just enjoy the ride :)

It is so true people have become salves to their possessions this is the reason Jesus said to the multitude of people who came to hear Him "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth.........for where your treasure is there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21. Well I love getting connected with the people of God around the globe to be encouraged strengthened and praying for one another. I have been in the Pastoral ministry for last 4oyrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with a great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. we reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the brokeneharted. We flew to Kolkata planning on staying 3 nights, no accommodation booked in advance. Basically, we arrived at the airport (2am) and spoke to a couple of backpackers on the same flight as us to see where they were staying - Just to have a rough idea. And so we also found out that Sudder Street was apparently a well known area. Well and that's where we ended up. *Not having a hotel booked can come in handy when you land at 2am. It does sound weird, but we found out that one of the guys in the same flight as us had a booking and his hotel was closed when he arrived, which means he could not get in, had to find another hotel to spend the night and lost his money for that night. So we jumped on a cab and asked him to drop us off in the middle of this Sudder Street which was the main touristic part of the city (apparently). CHINA | Why Qingdao?

I like to say that we didn’t choose to go to Qingdao, but Qingdao chose us to go there! Haha One ordinary day in February last year, Viv and I were chatting at a bar and having a couple of beers. That’s when he got his phone to check something we were discussing and spotted this amazing deal to fly from Melbourne, Austrália to Qingdao, China. The flight was ridiculously cheap that we couldn’t help ourselves and ended up buying it. It was about $200 AUD return each! WTF!!!!! Seriously, we had once missed out on an amazing deal to Japan $300 AUD return. So we didn’t think twice, we purchased the tix in less than 15 min of finding the deal haha… I guess the beer also helped a bit. City View Here is the thing, at first we didn’t even know where Qingdao was located! We knew nothing about it, never heard of it or anything. Old and New Delhi | INDIA

We arrived in Delhi by train, as usual, and I thought it would be a place we would like to stay longer than we actually did, not sure why, but yep I was wrong. We could not wait to leave this city after the first day, but due to sold out train tickets we had to stay 3 full days there.  Still we found some beauty in it of course and there's plenty to do, don't get me wrong, however it can get a bit stressful, as there are scammers everywhere.  We stayed at a nicer hotel this time. When I say 'nicer', it is compared to where we stayed before, or perhaps just a bit more expensive which does not mean necessarily nicer. We paid $35 per night at that time and yes, they had hot shower and comfy/clean bed! Happy days. We explored a bit of the area which we were in, which apparently was the tourist area (Main Bazar Rd) and we didn't find it super exciting (perhaps because it was the tourist area? HA).
